He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Ray Pendleton and Martha Corley Pendleton; his wife Edith Cavell Pendleton; and his sister Martha Pendleton. He is survived by: his children, Stephen Pendleton (Julie) of Brewton, Bobby Pendleton of Texas, Virgil Pendleton of Texas and Kathy Marsack of Texas; his brothers, Charles Pendleton of Mississippi, Harold Pendleton (Brenda) of New Orleans, John Pendleton (Carol) of Brewton and Leonard Pendleton (Marsha) of Brewton; and his aunt Vera Lofton of Mobile, AL. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
