He is survived by: his wife Jean Hobbs Patterson of Castleberry; his daughters, Darlene Hildreth (Larry) of Evergreen, AL, Sandy Wagnon (Anthony) of Evergreen, AL, Wendy Burch (Craig) of Brewton, Jennifer Burnham (Jim) of Brewton and Melanie Blackmon (Jayson) of Castleberry; his siblings, Mike Patterson (Lisa) of McKenzie and Elaine Pipkin of Evergreen; and his grandchildren, Tiffany Monk, Travis Hildreth, Cristin Coleman, Kevin Searcy, Eric Burgh, Kaden Burgh, Julia Blackmon, Olivia Blackmon and Jayron Blackmon. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
