She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Carson and Addie May Byrd of Wilmington, NC; her siblings, Henry Carson Byrd, Jr., Jennings Byrd and Dorothy Byrd Hardy; and her husband Lee McMillan Otts.
She is survived by: her daughters, Harriett Godwin (Mike) of Brewton, Beth Sutton of Brewton, Mary Lee Watson (Joe) of Spanish Fort and Frances Maxwell (Chip) of Nashville, TN.; her grandchildren, Liz Godwin Wilson (John), Mary Godwin Menge (Radcliff) of Birmingham, Michael Godwin (Allison) of Montgomery, David Maxwell (Liz), Lauren Maxwell of Nashville and Emmalee Sutton of New Orleans; and her great grandchildren, Riley, Mary Pace, Curry Elizabeth Godwin, Lee, Harry Wilson and John Menge.
