She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Lee Johnson and Melva Lee Johnson; her husband Coleman E. Kent; her sons, John Edward Kent, James Edward Kent and Clarence Edward Kent; and her brother Billy Johnson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Edna Hester (Jerone) of Roanoke, AL, Ann Moore (Tony) of Woodland, AL and Rebecca West (James) of Brewton, AL; her siblings, Roy Johnson, Wayne Johnson, David Johnson, Sally Rackard (Curtis) and Bertie Jean Wright; and her grandchildren, Jeff Hester (Christena), Joey Hester (Ashleigh), Brian Moore (April), Rocky Moore, Amanda Brown (Taylor) and James West (Jessica). She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
