She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. William Grady Palmer; her former husband Ed Smith; her brother William Grady Palmer; and her grandson Johnny Edward Scott. She is survived by: her daughters, Detra Boutwell (Damon) of Jay and Debra K. Scott of Brewton; her brother Ronnie Pettis of Georgia; her grandchildren, Katie Cheatham (Michael) of Grand Bay, AL and Dalton Boutwell of Jay; and her great grandchildren, Makayla Cheatham, Michael Cheatham, Jr. and Emery Bae Scott.
