She is survived by : her husband Bernard Weatherspoon; her children, Rontavis Chess and Ashley Weatherspoon; her grandchildren, Alaysha Weatherspoon and Braxton Chess; and her siblings, Jeraldine, Bobby Chess (late Doris), Willie Chess (Eva), Joann Chess, Shirley Richardson (Ronnie), Richard Chess (Angela), Kelvin Chess and Marvin Chess (Glenda).
