We are sad to announce that on July 13, 2019, at the age of 91, George William Roy Sr. (Calera, Alabama), born in Helena, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Tomlin Roy (Betty); his children, Betty Jane Edwards and George Roy, Jr.; his children-in-law, Ricky Cairns and Joyce Roy; his grandsons, Robert "Bo" Edwards, Jr. and Chris Roy; his parents, Colly Roy and Clara Disney; his stepfather Lige Harris; and his sister Mary Frances Ellerman.

He is survived by: his children, Barbara Franks (Timmy), Doris Ann Sajpel (Wally), James Richard Roy (De Ann) and Tommy Edwards (Courtney). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
