She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, John Cheatham and Lucile Paige Cheatham; her husband Otis Herndon; her sons, Kyle, Ken (Linda), Derek (Anita), Mark (Diane), Jermain (Tonya) and Obie; and her siblings, Willie (Mary), Arthur (Maggie), John, Nina (Roosevelt), Millie and Zeny Mae. She was also cherished by nineteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
