He was predeceased by : his parents, Harchel Burkett and Lucy Campbell Burkett; and his sister Lynda Burkett Garris. He is survived by : his wife Denise Tucker Burkett; his son Chad Burkett; his mother-in-law Bernice Stovall Tucker; his sisters-in-law, Diane Reece (Donnie) and Debbie Wideman (Gerald); his nieces, Kim Legore (Gary) and Krista Garris; and his great-nephews, Colin and Garris Legore. He is also survived by several cousins, aunts and uncles.
