He was predeceased by: his cousin Matthew Nix; and his aunt Velma Pounders. He is survived by: his children, Aaliyah and Kaylee Strickland; his parents, Eddie Strickland and Betsy Strickland; his grandparents, Billy and Betty Aday; his brothers, Jamie and Tyler Strickland; his siblings' children, Hunter Lee Strickland and Kaitlin Pettyjohn; and his aunts and uncles, Paulette Nix-Ponder, Amy Aday, Donna K. Schuster, Jeff, Barry and Len Aday.
