It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Frances Ward of Childersburg, Alabama, who passed away on June 22, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Oscar Eudell Ward; her son Robert "Clayton" Wilhite; her parents, Agnes Walker and Benjamin "Bennie" Bearden; and her siblings, Dorothy "Dot" Owens, Mary "Ann" Corbett, Virginia "Carolyn" Griffith, Robert "Joe" Bearden and Milford Wesson.
She is survived by: her children, Kirk A. Wilhite, Carol Sue Popham (Greg), Tina Stanley (Joe), Leonard Wilhite and Marie Liveoak (Chris); her sister Lillian; and her grandchildren, Amy Wilhite, Brenda Wilhite, Kirk A. Wilhite Jr., Robert "Robby" Robinson, Gary Reeves, Eugene Reeves, Rebecca Mizzell, Jennifer Vickers, Josh Wilhite, Jeremy Wilhite, Daniel Meherg, Victoria Meherg, Emma Grace Wilhite and Benjamin Riley Wilhite.
