He was predeceased by : his parents, William Ray and Bertha Lennie Godfrey; and his sister Mildred Sellers. He is survived by : his wife Patricia Wesley Godfrey of Childersburg; his former life partner Margie Parker Godfrey; his sons, Alan Godfrey of Birmingham and Chris Godfrey (Stacey) of Chelsea; his stepson Dwight Lane Wesley (Sally); his daughters, Carol Crowe-Becker (Gary) of Birmingham and Susan Godfrey Massey (Gene) of Anniston; his sister Geneva Godfrey Amason of Childersburg; and his friends, Gloria Winston, Sylacauga Health and Rehab. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Grace Baptist Church in Childersburg or Coosa Valley Hospice.
