He is survived by: his wife Deborah Ervin; his children, Mechelle Ervin Piscataway (David), Melvin Ervin (Shelia) of Oxford, AL and James Ervin (Melissa); and his siblings, Lena Smith, Shelly Bruce, David Ervin (Lois) of Heflin, AL, George Ervin (Barbara) and Robert Ervin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
