It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melba Jeanette Martin (Citronelle, Alabama), who passed away on April 9, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Melba Jeanette Martin to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, John Jr. Johnston and Ida Johnston; her husband Robert "Bobby" Martin; her son Robert C. "Cookie" Martin; her grandson Landon Hester; and her siblings, Mell Johnston, Arnold Johnston and Connie Johnston.

She is survived by : her children, Mike Martin (Donna), Terry Martin and Allison Hester (Steven); her grandchildren, Brooke Blount (Jeremy), Erin Byrd (Joe), Leslie Sullivan (Jeremy), Lauren Martin (Felisha), Robert Martin and Avery Grace Hester; her siblings, Ray Johnston (Bonnie), Gloria Bailey and Charlie Johnston; and her caregivers, Jennifer Rivers and Ashley Johnston. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Living Word Church (20320 N 3rd St, Citronelle, AL 36522). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at the Pine Crest Cemetery.
