It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Grace B. Ward of Cottondale, Alabama, who passed away on August 17, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Hugh B. Ward; her grandson Brant Merriam, Sr.; her parents, Frank Barnett and Julia Langford Barnett; and her siblings, Odell Frost, Maudie Etheridge, Cleo Rigsby, Oda Mae Weaver, Ruth Barnett, Eber Barnett, Sr., Paul Barnett and Colvin Barnett.
She is survived by: her children, Becky Merriam (Mike) and Harold Ward (Mary); her great grandchildren, Jordyn Merriam Johnson (Dalton), Shelby Merriam Bradford (Clint), Brantley Merriam, Jr. (Celeste), Mallory, Clay Merriam, Callie Grace, Rylan Corley, Mason, Veronica Ward, Jackson and Connor Beth Irvin; her great great grandchildren, Gideon, Abel Johnson, John Clint and Anderson Brant Bradford; her sisters-in-law, Ethel Barnett and Sara Barnett; and her friends, Gladys Ray, Frank, Bobbye Burns, David, Nobie Ewing, Lewis Jones, Johnny, Sara Bostick, Charles, Joanna McElroy, Wayne, Pam Kelly, Marlowe Herron, Katrina McKinley and Cottondale Christian Church. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
