She was predeceased by: her parents, Newty Kerns and Lillie Mae Chavis Kerns; her husband Curtis Lee Phillips Jr.; and her siblings, Virginia Grooms, Jesse Lee Kerns, Bobby Kerns, Eugene Kerns, Roy Earl Kerns and Mary Lillie Kerns.
She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Cheek (Donald) of McColl, S. C., Daphne Bacon (George) of Winterville, NC., Bobby Phillips (Tammy) of Madison and Bonnie Boyd (Michael) of Cullman; and her sister Linda Armstrong (Dennis) of Pocatello Idaho. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
