He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles M. Gross and Christine Teichmiller Gross; and his brother Augustus "Gus" Gross. He is survived by: his wife Jayne Morrison Gross; his children, Philip M. Gross, Holly Beth Gross and Dea Anna Short (Brian); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Christina Murphy (Loran) and Savannah Katharine Gross; and his siblings, Katharine Millar, Tom Gross (Bonnie), Rachel Shaffer (Theodore), Imogene Heatherly (Raymond), Christine Livingston (Michael), Perry Gross (Teresa) and Barbara Harper. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Hospice of the Valley.
