She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Elbert Carroll and Daisy Mae Jones Carroll; her children, Wilson Henderson and Penny Henderson Burkett; and her grandchildren, Lowell Henderson, Heather Henderson, Sharon Bates and John Bates. She was also cherished by several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
