He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Haney and Vera Mae Miller Haney; his grandparents, Joseph, Betty Haney, Franklin and Lou Miller; and his brother Douglas Paul Haney.

He is survived by: his children, Debbie, Jay Morgan, Tabatha Thompson (Eli Lott), Dawn Marie Haney and Mark Anthony Haney of Wisconsin; his siblings, Herman, Linda Sue Haney, Joe Haney and Annie Ruth Johnson; his grandson Easton Thompson; his stepgrandchildren, Jason and Katie Morgan; and his stepgreat-granddaughter Paisley Harris.
