He was predeceased by: his parents, Jefferson Levis Herring, Sr. and Flora Jane Baker Herring. He is survived by: his wife Shelby Jean Meyer Herring; his brothers, Gary P. Herring and Robert L. Herring (Cammie); his children, Jeffery G. Herring and Janet Herring Nails Taylor (Jim); his grandchildren, Wesley Nails (Amy), Alexandra Herring Roberts (Jonny) and Calli Nails; and his great grandchildren, Emma Nails and Estella Roberts.
In Lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial contributions to First United Methodist Church of Cullman Building Fund or St. Paul's Lutheran School.
