He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Cooper and Harvey Lee Cooper; his wife Nina Ruth Cooper; and his children, Louie Cooper, Jr. and Michelle Cameron.

He is survived by: his children, Rodeanna Cooper of Athens, AL, Angela Madrigal of Cullman, AL, Harvey Cooper (Misti) of Athens, AL and Jonathan Cooper (Tonya) of Athens, AL. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
