She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee and Banie Tankersley Glenn; her husband John Alton McKenney; and her grandson Dewayne Mark Thomas. She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Thomas (Jerry) and Barbara Jones; her grandchildren, Stephanie Newell (Jeremy), Michelle Smith (Justin), Jerome Thomas (Christy), Joel Thomas (Kellie) and Dusty Thomas (Courtney); her sisters, Eva Phillips, Ola Jean Wright, Tressie "Tiny" Wright and Patricia Abercrombie; and her sister-in-law Ruby Glenn. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren.
