He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Gene and Waneta Gayle Smith Squires; and his stepparents, Fred Laughter and Doris Squires. He is survived by: his siblings, Sally Whaley (Johnny), Annette Squires Gee (Tony), Maurica Brown, Rocky Tyler (Leigh) and Ralph Squires. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
