It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josiah Butler Sr. (Daphne, Alabama), born in Walnut Grove, Alabama, who passed away on December 31, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Raiford Butler Sr. and Hattie Sanders Butler; and his siblings, William Raiford Butler Jr, Charles M. Butler, Beverly G. Butler, Robert Henry Butler, Dr. Gene P. Butler and Mary Louise Butler Seale.
He is survived by: his sister Rosalind Butler Ross; his wife Betty Moss Butler; his children, Ashley Butler Rogers (Ray Rogers) and Josiah Powell Butler Jr (Sherik Vitulli Butler); his grandchildren, Reagan Elizabeth Horsley, Josiah Powell Butler III and William Cody Butler; and his sister-in-law Janet Butler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
