He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Sr. Banks and Dora Mae Garth Banks of Decatur, AL.. He is survived by: his children, Christina Banks of Decatur, Aliceia Banks Shafeeq (Ibrahim) of Decatur, LaKenya Howard (Larry) of Athens, AL and Joshua Garner Banks of Decatur; his siblings, Sherry Bates (Garyon) of Hillsboro, AL, Terry Banks-Smith (Terence), Preston Banks Jr. of Decatur, Victor Banks of Decatur and Vincent Banks (Christal) of Huntsville, AL; and his stepsiblings, Larry Smith (Davina) of Birmingham, AL and Barbara Bowman of Huntsville, AL. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, one great grandchild; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
