He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas W. Hames and Mae Whitlow Hames; his wife Dorothy Welch Hames; his son Dennis W. Hames; and his siblings, W. T. Hames, D. W. Hames, Jr. and Marie Phillips.
He is survived by: his sons, Rick Hames (Gail) and Steve Hames (Ann); his sister Jane Micklow; and his grandchild Fifteen. He is also survived by Fifteen Great Grandchildren.
