With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peggy Ann Dykes (Decatur, Alabama), who passed away on December 2, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, T. P. Pulliam and Anna Brigance Cook; her sister Olivia Turner; and her husband James M. Dykes. She is survived by: her son James M. Dykes, Jr. (Jim); her son-in-law Earl E. Bufford, Jr. of Decatur; her sister Jane Glenn of Yazoo City; and also, Christian Chaney, Toby Davis, Michael Davis, John Davis, Paul Ford and Joe McClure. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

If you wish, donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Carnegie Visual Arts Center.
