It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Davis Chandler of Decatur, Alabama, who passed away on January 6, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Davis and Sarah Davis; her son-in-law Ken Reed; her grandson Chad Reed; and her sisters, Patricia Osborne and Mildred Harris.
She is survived by: her husband Richard of Decatur; her children, Cheryl Reed of Decatur, Rick (Faye) of Decatur, Chris (Melanie) of Falkville, Mike (Amy) of Athens and James (Paula) of Madison; and her siblings, Roger Davis (Sue) of Madison, John Davis (Sandra) of Athens, Jerry Davis of Scottsboro and Marilyn Miller (Gene) of Hazel Green. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital and Harry's Kidz Care of Flint Church of Christ.
