He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Knight and Lela Criswell Knight; his daughter Michelle Knight; and his siblings, Donnie Knight, Geraldine Smith, Gracie May Knight and Robert Knight.

He is survived by : his wife Katie Knight of Delta; his children, Wilma Knight of Delta, Stephanie Knight of Madison, Marie Hood of Childersburg, Wilburn Knight Jr. of Georgia and Gene Hood of Talladega; and his sister Mildred Knight of Monroe. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
