She was predeceased by : her parents, Temple Johnson and Ruth Johnson; her husband Robert Burton (Burt); and her siblings, Johnny Johnson, Evelyn King and Benda Black.

She is survived by : her sisters, Elaine Van Amburg of Texas and Linda Thompson of Bessemer Al; her stepson James Burton (Anne); and her nephew David Johnson (Marsha). She is also survived by 3 children and great grandchildren.
