He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben F. Powel Jr. and Marie Powel (Taylor); and his sister Kathy Powel. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Powel (Benton); his sister Beth Powel; his mother-in-law Mary Benton; his siblings-in-law, David Benton (BJ) and Teresa Greathouse (Ricky); and his close friend Cooper. He is also survived by several cousins; a host of good friends.
