She was predeceased by: her parents, James McPherson and Willie Pear McPherson; her son Kenneth Mitchell; and her siblings, Marsha Davis, Joe McPherson, Willie James McPherson and Bobby McPherson.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Dawkins (Johnny), Kathy Whiters, Craig Mitchell (Bessie), Steve Mitchell (Angela Rogers) and Marvin Mitchell; and her siblings, Geraldine Barksdale, Mary Frances McPherson, Judy Whitehurst (Kopy), Perry McPherson (Loretta) and Phillip McPherson (Kathy). She is also survived by great-grands, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
