She was predeceased by: her parents, Rigdon Barnes and Betty Barnes (Jones); and her son Corey Abercrombie. She is survived by: her sons, Brad Abercrombie and Chad Abercrombie; her grandson Cole Abercrombie; her brother Carey Barnes (Frankie); and her cousin Amie Pollard. She is also survived by friends, and many other special friends and co-workers.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to be made to the local animal shelter in Cheryl's name.
