He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Carroll and Pearle Carroll; his brother Mike Carroll; his granddaughter Kayle Nowlin; and his pet Baby.

He is survived by: his children, Steven Nowlin, Wayne Nowlin and Tina Nowlin; and his grandchildren, Katelyn Nowlin, Deanna Johnson, Brooke Nowlin and Baleigh Nowlin.
