It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Keith Hartzog of Dothan, Alabama, born in Hartford, Alabama, who passed away on February 10, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Junior Hartzog and Jeanette Gilley Hartzog Bowden; his grandparents, George W. and Daisy Thomley Hartzog; his brothers, Kenneth, Paul Hartzog and Greg Bowden; and the mother of his child Sue Barbrey.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Hartzog; his sons, David Hartzog (Amy) of Opelika, AL and Christopher Chapman of Atlanta, GA; his stepsons, Gerald Henderson, Jr. of Birmingham, Eli Henderson (Sophie) of Birmingham and Caleb Henderson of Birmingham; his grandchildren, Ann Katherine Lovin (Jacob), Gunnar Hartzog, Gray Hartzog, Audrey Hartzog, Madalyn, Austin Henderson, Annalee and Charleigh Henderson; his sister Sherry Fillingim (Andy); and his caregivers, Brooke and Sam. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
