It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delbert Brown of Dothan, Alabama, born in Houston, Alabama, who passed away on December 14, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Clarence Brown and Bertie Katherine Kirkland Brown; his wife Grace Brown; and his siblings, Blondell DeShazo, Morris Brown and Paul Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Scott (Steve), Sherrie B. Tate (Dennis) and Keith Brown (Tammy); his grandchildren, Bret Scott (Mindy), Brooke S. Daniels (Neal), Derrick Tate (Ashley), Trey Tate, Heath Brown (Courtney), Haley Grimes and Hunter Brown; his great grandchildren, Brantley, Brody Scott, Dylan, Braxton Tate, Thomas Tate, Savannah, Parker Daniels, Stone, Peyton, Paige Brown, Blakelyn Grimes, Kasen, Kolten, Kyler and Kolby Brown; and his sisters, Mable Henderson and Charlotte Nowell. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Due to current COVID guidelines, the immediate family wishes not to be present during this time.
The family will be accepting flowers or contributions may be made to Mount Gilead Baptist Church in Delbert's honor.
