He is survived by: his children, Marilyn Sue Cherry Burkett (Denny), Edwin Monroe Cherry and Donna Rose Cherry Mathis (Scott); his grandchildren, Jessica Marie Cherry, Jennifer Nicole Cherry and Dalton Grant Mathis; and his sister Lillie Era Cherry Douglas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
