He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Vernon Nelson, Jr. and Lucy Faye Mobley Nelson; and his brother Harold Vernon Nelson, III. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Nelson of Dothan; his children, William Chadwick (C. J.) of Dothan, Amy Michelle Chadwick of Dothan and Annie Nelson Hall (Justin) of Dothan; his grandchildren, Kelsey Evans (Jonathan), Macey Ward, Emma Sims, Hunter Chadwick (Skyler), Andrew Chadwick, Caleb Chadwick, Faith Curtis (Shawn), Trey Hardy, Aidan Hall, Ethan Hall and Everly Hall; and his great grandchildren, Abi Evans, Delaney Evans, Gavin Hudspeth and Layken Chadwick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
