He was predeceased by: his parents, George Carl and Liza Jane Huelett Poyner; his son Jesse Frank Poyner; and his brothers, Bill McCrimmon, Jimmy McCrimmon, Johnny McCrimmon and Henry McCrimmon.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Poyner of Dothan; his children, Carl Poyner (Beverly) of Faydette, Gregory Poyner of Dothan, David Poyner of Union Springs and Ruth Ann King of Ozark; and his sister Ethel Davis of Miami, FL. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
