He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Tyus and Sally Cloud Tyus. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Stevens Tyus; his children, Bing Tyus (Debbie) of Lake Wales, Florida, Lomell Taylor (David) of Graceville, Florida and Max Tyus (Regina) of Pierson, Florida; his grandchildren, Jeremy Tyus, Shane Taylor, Emily Stegall, Tyla Tyus and Beth Davis; his great grandchildren, Hannah, Gavin Stegall, Henley and Cora Tyus; and his brother Philip Tyus of Marianna. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
