He is survived by: his wife Brenda Smith; his sons, Thomas Smith (Marie), Eric Smith and Jeffery Smith; his sisters, Bertha Moore (Howard) and Betty Putnam; and his niece Debbie Freund (Erik). He is also survived by five grandchildren.
