He was predeceased by : his father Bobby Hinson; and his stepson Bradley Metcalf. He is survived by : his wife Suzanne Cox Hinson of Dothan; his daughters, Helen Hinson of Dothan and Hanna Roney (Bryant) of Webb; his grandchildren, Brayden Brown, Braxton Roney, Adalynn Rae Roney and Braylee Metcalf; his mother Beverlye A. Hinson of Dothan; his brother Jon Kevin Hinson (Deborah) of Glen Carbon, Illinois; and his nephews, Justin Hinson (Hannah) and Hunter Hinson.
