It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Phillip King of Dothan, Alabama, who passed away on September 6, 2025, at the age of 31, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Harry Smoker and Jackie King. He is survived by: his parents, Kathryn "Kathy" Smoker King and James "Jimmy" Phillip King, Sr.; his fiancée Janie Posey; his siblings, Sydney Givens (Chase) and Lyvi King; his siblings' children, Jack and Rose Givens; his grandmothers, Carolyn Neal and Janice King; his aunts and uncles, Greg Smoker, Carolyn Smoker, Jeff Smoker, Kim Crenshaw, Kevin Smoker (Kendra), Carl Smoker, Julie Johnson and Jana Rice; his extended family, Jeff, Michele and Jimmy Posey; and his pet Millie.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Dothan (1380 W Main St, Dothan, AL 36301). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
