He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Homer Chappell-Scales and Thelma Chappell-Scales; his siblings, Delmas Scales and Flonell Guyton; his wife Shirley Lesesne Scales; his children, Shea Collins and Sloan Scales; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Cassanelli Scales; his sister-in-law Joyce Scales; and his grandchildren, Sage Scales, Mackenzie Collins, Isaac Scales and Annabell Collins.
