She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, D. C. Loftin and Shelley Loftin; her husband William E. McCollum, Sr.; her siblings, Evelyn McMoy and Jim Loftin; her children, William McCollum, Jr. (Karen), Pamela Morenstein, Robert McCollum (Juanette) and Patricia Gainous (Robbie); and her grandchildren, Kimberly, David McCollum, Brittany Morestein Craft and Colby Gainous.
