She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Jackson Herndon and Mary Ollie Register Herndon; her husband Cecil Dykes; her son Larry Dykes; her granddaughter Teresa Mills; and her sisters, Mary Inez Woodham and Nellie Voorhees.
She is survived by: her daughter Olivia Ann Brannon; her daughter-in-law Carol Dykes; her grandson Jonathan Dykes (Tina); and her sister Janice Rogers. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
