He was predeceased by: his parents, Ewell Griffin and Agnes Griffin; his wife Dorothy "Dot" Jeanette Griffin (Kersey); his brother James Griffin; and his son-in-law Mark Williams.
He is survived by: his children, Rusty Griffin (Tommie), Laura Blue (Chris) and Lisa Williams; and his grandchildren, Kayce McCormick (Jody), Gina Pickering (Rusty), Elizabeth Dodds (Bryan), Forrest Griffin (Marcelo Sgarbi) and John-David Williams (Camille). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
