She was predeceased by: her parents, James Loyd Sims and Dora Mae Bryant Sims; her husband Willie Grover Burkett; and her siblings, Mary Alice Danford and Charles Sims.
She is survived by: her children, Lori Smith (Bill Stubbs), Victoria Hallford (James), Grover Lee Burkett (Windy) and Paul Barnes; her brothers, James Sims (Annick) and Wayne Sims (Jannett); her grandchildren, Adam Smith (Amanda), Emily Lasner, Tonya Sanders (Matthew), Marc McLendon (Hannah), Brandon Burkett (Kelci), Katie Hallford and Morgan Hallford; and her great grandchildren, LeaAnna, Savannah, Mallori, Lilliani, Jacob, Wesley, Bella and Jack.
