He is survived by: his parents, Naomi Benefield and Hershel Benefield; his wife Alma Benefield; his children, Jenifer Ezell of Ohio, Jeffrey Benefield (Julie) of California and Seth Benefield of Hawaii; his sisters, Renae Benefield of Montgomery and Lori Bradley (Terry) of Enterprise; and his nieces and nephews, Jason Bradley, Justin Bradley (Jenna) and Jordan (Blaire).
