He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bateman; his children, Erica Bateman, Jared Bateman (Monica) and Sherri French (James); his sisters, Cindy Bateman and Melinda Tankersley (Joshua); his siblings' children, Kristie Latham (Addison), Shanna Manning, Joshua Tankersley and Jasmine Tankersley; his great-nieces, Trinity and Sophia; and his close friend Michael Thames.
